TVS Wego the top selling scooter from TVS finally gets a disc brake option. This is only the second scooter in India to get a disc brake, the other being the Honda Aviator. The TVS Wego already had the disc brake as an option on its export models and we surely welcome this move. The 220 mm disc will definitely add to the riding pleasure of this scooter and make braking a confident affair. The price of the scooter with the disc brake will now be at Rs. 49,157/- ex-showroom Delhi.
The TVS Wego is one of those scooters that has always impressed us, easy to handle and with good braking stability and power even without the disc brakes, had made this a top choice for us. The 109.7 cc engine sure is peppy and has a good feel all the while returning a good mileage in the range of 38 – 40 kmpl. The Wego comes in six colour options, namely, Capuccino brown, Electric green, Mercury grey, Midnight black, Volcano red and Sporty white. Check out the specifications of the TVS Wego below.

Hi,
I am about to buy a scooter for me and for my wife. I will be buying either Yamaha Ray Z or Tvs wego. The main purpose is shopping from the markets which are 5-7 kms away from the home; which may happen everyday. Once in a week, we may take a trip to the town, which is 45 Kms away. We have to meet a lot of signals and heavy traffic in bet ween. Both of us are infants as riders. I rode both the vehicles, but could not find much differences in riding comfort.
I liked Ray z for it’s styling and wego for it’s luggage space (front carriage) and external fuel fill.
As I am not an expert, I need your advice in selecting one of these. Also, please let me know which one is more fuel efficient. Thanks in advance
Hi Sangeet, considering your needs we feel that maybe the Wego is a better bet for you, especially since you need more space. Otherwise both the scooters are pretty good :)
Hi…any news on how an existing user of wego get an upgrade for disc brake? My repeated mail to compnay has not yielded any reply.
Nope, we had checked it out, you would need to replace the forks to do it and that would turn out to be quite costly we presume.
