TVS has been quite successful with its scooters in the Indian market. Long back it was the Scooty which went on to become synonymous with small gearless scooters and the brand has been carrying the success with TVS Jupiter. In a market largely dominated by Honda, TVS Jupiter is the ace for the Indian manufacturer. Now the company has introduced a new variant of the successful TVS Jupiter. This new variant of TVS Jupiter is called the MillionR. It sits above the ZX trim and comes with front disc brake for better stopping power. The name MillionR seems to highlight the fact that the TVS Jupiter has sold over 10 lakh units and this is a tribute to the customers. The TVS Jupiter is based on the TVS Wego with a slightly tweaked engine to make it more refined and enjoyable. The engine is a 110 cc unit that generates a peak power of 8 PS at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 8 Nm at 5500 rpm. It comes with telescopic front forks and gas charged rear suspension. The disc on this variant has a diameter of 220 mm. The company is also working on a fuel injected variant of the TVS Jupiter to conform to the upcoming strict emission norms.
