The 2020 Suzuki Burgman 200 has been unveiled. Suzuki has revealed the 2020 update for the Burgman 200. The scooter is currently available in select international markets and gets new colours in the 2020 update. However, it continues to be powered by the same engine.

The 2020 Suzuki Burgman 200 draws power from the same liquid-cooled, 200cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 17bhp. A CVT gearbox drives the rear wheel.

In terms of design, it looks like the perfect maxi-scooter. It is pretty large and has a really large seat, while offering an upright riding position. Up front is a tall windscreen that could put the ones on some cruisers to shame.

It also comes with a friendly LED headlamp and the front apron also houses the turn signal indicators. It also sports one of the largest exhaust end-cans in the segment. The 2020 Suzuki Burgman 200 rides on six-spoke alloy wheels (13-inch up front and 12-inch at the rear) shod with thick and grippy rubber.

Braking duties are handled by 240mm discs at the front and rear, and a dual-channel ABS comes as standard equipment. The scooter is now available in three new colours — White, Black and Silver.

In India, Suzuki sells the Burgman Street 125, which is a maxi-scooter based on the Suzuki Access 125. The Burgman Street 125 is selling in decent numbers, but not enough to convince Suzuki to bring in a larger variant.

Also, if the Burgman 200 is indeed launched in India, it will be priced really high and the scooter market has not matured enough to fetch such prices yet. For these reasons, we do not see the Suzuki Burgman 200 entering the Indian market anytime soon.
