The Honda Activa 6G 20th Anniversary Edition has been launched in India. Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the Activa 6G 20th Anniversary Edition at a starting price of Rs 66,816 for the Standard variant. The top-spec DLX variant is priced at Rs 68,316.
There’s no hiding from the fact that the Honda Activa is one of the most successful scooters of this generation. It was launched way back in 1999. In a span of over two decades, we have seen six generations of the scooter being launched and every single generation surpassed the previous in terms of sales.
Despite several attempts by the competition to bring the Activa down from the throne, the scooter only grew further in terms of sales. For 20 years now, the Activa has remained the best-selling scooter in the country and that is a big deal in a competitive market like India.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is therefore celebrating this milestone of 20 years by launching the Activa 6G 20th Anniversary Edition. It is a special edition with several aesthetic changes. It features two new colours — Matte Mature Brown and Pearl Nightstar Black. For the first time, the scooter features a body-coloured grabrail.
The Activa logo is decked in Gold and the special edition also features Silver stripes up front and at the side. The wheels, brakes and gearbox cover are all decked in Black. In terms of features and design and styling, the 20th Anniversary Edition is similar to the standard variant. It gets an LED headlamp up front, and a digital-analogue instrument cluster.
In terms of mechanicals too, it remains just the same. It is still powered by the same air-cooled, 110cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 7.68bhp and a peak torque output of 8.79Nm. Bookings and deliveries for the Activa 6G 20th Anniversary Edition are open now.
