Mahindra is offering a Shiro helmet worth Rs 5,000 for free, to buyers of the Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6. The offer seems to be a year-end stock clearance deal and is aimed at encouraging people to buy the motorcycle. Mahindra is placing hopes on this offer to see a slight boost in sales numbers.
The Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 is a very capable motorcycle. It excels at touring and keeps the rider and pillion comfortable over longer distances too. However, the Mahindra Mojo has failed to perform in terms of sales numbers. Only 32 units were sold in August, 37 units in September, and 77 units in October. These numbers are dismal when compared to that of the competition.
Hence, the brand is working extra hard to increase the sales numbers of the Mojo. Mahindra is offering Shiro branded helmets worth Rs 4,901, free of cost to all buyers of the Mahindra Mojo. A Mojo buyer who refers a friend to a Mahindra dealership to purchase a Mojo gets riding gloves worth Rs 2,350, free of cost.
Shiro makes some stylish and attractive helmets and this is good news for buyers of the motorcycle. The Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 has been on sale for a few months now. It looks similar to the first-generation Mahindra Mojo, except that it features a single exhaust system compared to the dual-exhaust setup of the first-gen.

The BS6 motorcycle is powered by a liquid-cooled, 295cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 25.35bhp at 7,300rpm and a peak torque output of 26Nm at 6,000rpm. A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel. It features a digital-analogue instrument cluster.
Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking is done by petal discs at the front and rear. Now, with this offer, the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is certainly an enticing buy. How many will give in to the enticement though is a question to be asked.
