Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced new colour options on the Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 motorcycles. The motorcycles remain the same mechanically and prices for the 250cc motorcycles remain the same. However, Suzuki has hiked prices of the 155cc Gixxer by Rs 560 and Gixxer SF by Rs 1,030.
The Suzuki Gixxer lineup of motorcycles has been extremely beneficial to Suzuki Motorcycle India. It sells well and has found its own enthusiasts. It all started with the launch of the Suzuki Gixxer, and then came the Suzuki Gixxer SF. Later, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 were also launched, thereby expanding the lineup and reaching out to more buyers.
Now, Suzuki has launched more colour options for the motorcycles in order to make them more attractive. The 155cc Suzuki Gixxer is now available in new Metallic Triton Blue and Pearl Mira Red shades. The Metallic Triton Blue shade encompasses a Blue base with white and fluorescent livery while the Pearl Mira Red comprises a Red base colour and Black-coloured badging.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF was already previously available with the Metallic Triton Blue colour and hence only the Pearl Mira Red shade has been introduced on this motorcycle. Suzuki has also increased prices of the motorcycles. The Suzuki Gixxer is now priced at Rs 1,14,500 which is Rs 560 higher and the Gixxer SF now has a price tag of Rs 1,24,970 which is Rs 1,030 more than it was before.
The motorcycles remain unchanged in terms of the mechanicals. They are both still powered by an air-cooled, 155cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 13.4bhp and a peak torque output of 13.8Nm. The more premium 250cc motorcycles from Suzuki have also received new colour options.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is now being offered in a Metallic Triton Blue shade. This shade brings Suzuki’s MotoGP livery to the naked streetfighter, including the Suzuki and Ecstar logos. The fully-faired Gixxer SF 250 on the other hand receives a new colour called Triton Blue/Silver. It is a special colour that celebrates Suzuki’s 100th anniversary and is inspired by the colours worn by the 2020 MotoGP machine.
Prices for these motorcycles haven’t changed and they haven’t changed mechanically either. They are still powered by the same oil-cooled, 249cc, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 26.1bhp and a peak torque output of 22.2Nm. A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel. The new colours can be booked at any Suzuki dealership.
