Ducati Scrambler Icon

The Ducati Scrambler series have always comprised funky-looking, fun-to-ride motorcycles that even beginners could have fun on. They are built on the simple formula of having a big, torque engine in a small, nimble frame. Be it the Scrambler models powered by the 800cc engine or the 1100cc engine, they have always been engaging and brilliant fun out on the trails and on the highway.

Ducati has now launched the 2021 BS6 Scrambler range. The Ducati Scrambler Icon Dark is the entry-level model with a price tag of Rs 7.99 lakh. The Scrambler Icon on the other hand comes with a price tag of Rs 8.49 lakh. The top-spec Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro comes in at Rs 10.99 lakh.

The Ducati Scrambler Icon and Icon Dark are very similar. The Icon dark comes only in a Matt Black paint scheme with a black frame, black seat and dark grey wheels. The Scrambler Icon on the other hand is available in the Ducati Red and 62 Yellow colour schemes.

It now comes with LED lighting all around, new 10-spoke aluminium alloy wheels, a flatter seat and a wider handlebar. It also features an LCD instrument cluster with Ducati Multimedia System that allows the rider to receive call and text alerts while on the move.

The BS6 Ducati Scrambler Icon and Icon Dark are both powered by the same air-cooled, 803cc, L-twin engine. The changes made to the engine in order to make it BS6 compliant have decreased the torque output by 0.8Nm. It now has a peak torque output of 66.2Nm while power remains the same at 73bhp. A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel via a slipper clutch with hydraulic assist.

The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro BS6 is available in a Dark Stealth colour scheme. It is powered by an air-cooled, 1,079cc, L-twin engine with a maximum power output of 83.5bhp. The motorcycle features Ducati Traction Control, Cornering ABS, a 150-litre fuel tank, etc. It also comes with three riding modes — Active, Journey, and City.

The three new motorcycles are now available across all of Ducati’s nine dealerships and deliveries are set to commence from 28 January, 2021.
