Bajaj Pulsar isn’t just a range of motorcycles. Over time, it has become a brand in itself. The first Pulsar was launched more than a decade ago and some parts and components are still being used in today’s models without any change. The Pulsar 220F is one of the highest-selling models of the range and now it has a new colour scheme.
Bajaj has launched a new Volcanic Red matte colour for the Pulsar 220F. It looks pretty great and reminds us of the original Pulsar 220 Fi. Apart from the new colour, there is a set of new graphics as well. You will see a combination of orange and black graphics on most of the panels and fairings of the bike.
There are no mechanical changes done to the bike. Powering it is the same and familiar 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with Bajaj’s patented DTS-i technology. It produces close to 21PS of power and 18.55 Nm of torque. The engine is BS4 compliant and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

With ABS mandatory, the Pulsar 220F comes with a single-channel ABS at the front that aids in enhancing the bike’s braking performance that is mainly handled by a 260mm disc at the front and a 230mm disc at the back. One of the key features of the Pulsar 220F is its powerful headlamps. These are projector-type units separate for high and low beam.
With the launch of the new Volcanic Red colour, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F now has a total of three colour options include the previous black and blue options. They too are nice but the new matte finish red colour is refreshing.
As far as the price is concerned, Bajaj isn’t demanding any premium for the new colour option. It costs Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom).
