Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 is quite a popular bike amongst the youngsters. It has got a front fairing (Bajaj’s only faired bike), dual projector headlamps, clip-on handlebars, and a powerful 200cc single-cylinder engine that produces 24.5 bhp and 18.6 Nm. Now, the latest reports tell us that Bajaj is going update the RS 200 with dual-channel ABS.
The current RS 200 comes equipped with a single-channel ABS (works with the front brake) which is ‘something is better than nothing’ sorts. Most of the motorcycles in this segment and price range come with dual-channel ABS.
Apparently, Bajaj will soon launch RS 200 with dual-channel ABS at a premium of around Rs 1,500. Apart from ABS, the rest of the bike will be the same.

Now, why would Bajaj make such a move right now? That’s hard to say because Bajaj has to update the RS 200 to BS 6 norms before 1st April 2020 if it wants to continue selling it. Wouldn’t it have been a better move to fit in the dual-channel ABS in the BS 6 variant and launch it in one go?
Perhaps, Bajaj might have some other bigger plans for the RS 200 in the future. What do you think?
