Suzuki launched the all-new Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 in May 2019 and August 2019 respectively. Both the bikes have been received quite well by the audience. We have already reviewed the Gixxer SF 250. Anyway, the latest news about these two Gixxers reveals the max power output of their BS 6 compliant models.

As per a leaked document, the BS 6 compliant 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine produces 25.7bhp of max power which is slightly less than what the current BS 4 compliant engine churns out (26.1bhp). This marginal power drop won’t affect the performance in the real world and owners won’t notice any difference.

Since both the 250 Gixxers are new motorcycles, their BS 6 variants shouldn’t get any design changes. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to see perhaps a new colour scheme and some new decals to separate the BS 6 models with the BS 4 ones.

The new BS 6 emission norms will be enforced in the country from 1st April 2020. So Suzuki, along with various other automobile manufacturers, will update its entire fleet and launch them before that.
