Priced at Rs 62,000, Hero Dash is the latest addition in Hero’s electric fleet. The brand recently launched Electric Optima ER and Nyx ER for Rs 68,721 and Rs 69,754 respectively. It’s good to see that Hero is taking electrification of two-wheelers in the country very seriously.

Hero Dash has a 28Ah Lithium-ion battery that should provide a range of around 60km. It will take approx 4 hours for a full charge. Hero says that the Dash is targetted for commercial usage.

Some of the key features of the Dash include LED daytime running lights and headlights, digital ‘dash’, USB charging port, tubeless tyres, under-seat storage remote access.

Hero is in the process of expanding its infrastructure to support its electric two-wheelers. At present, it has 615 touchpoints throughout the country. These will increase to 1,000 by the end of 2020. The company has revealed that they also have plans to ramp up production to 5 lakh units per annum in the next three years.

Indian Govt is also in favour of electric vehicles and has taken certain measures to facilitate the growth of the same. It recently reduced the GST levied on electric vehicles which caused the prices to drop significantly.
