After launching its first BS 6 scooter (Activa 125 Fi) in September, Honda has now launched its first BS 6 motorcycle in the country. It’s called Honda SP 125 and it is based on the much popular BS 4 Honda CB Shine SP.
Honda SP 125 is powered by the same 124.73cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that we’ve seen in the CB Shine SP. For the new bike, Honda has made it BS 6-complaint by making certain changes. One of the biggest changes has to be the addition of PGM-FI (programmed fuel injection) which will certainly improve fuel efficiency and performance. In its BS 6 avatar, this engine produces 10.5 bhp of power and 10.3 Nm of torque, a marginal increase from before.
The PGM-FI will also enhance the overall riding experience by improving the throttle response. This would make riding the SP 125 in the city a breeze.
Honda SP 125 Key Features-
- BS 6-compliant engine with 10.5 bhp and 10.3 Nm
- New ACG starter for silent startups
- Fully-digital instrument cluster
- Eco indicator
- Real-time fuel efficiency
