The latest entrant in the electric scooter category in India is the Li-Ions Elektrik Spock. It has been launched at a starting price of Rs 65,000. Li-Ions Elektrik Solutions, the manufacturer, is based in Gurugram and has built the Spock from the ground up.
Powering the Spock is a 2.9kWh Li-ion battery and a BLDC hub motor which has a peak power of 2.1kW. Yes, it doesn’t sound much. Perhaps, to compensate for that, the company has provided 230Nm of peak torque.

Speaking on the launch, Capt. Gurvinder Singh, Director, Li-Ions Elektrik Solutions Pvt Ltd., said, “Green mobility solutions are the need of the hour. We, at Li-ions Elektrik, are at the forefront of driving electric innovations that will impact environmental and economic sustainability in our communities and nation. With the introduction of these new Electric 2-Wheelers, we aim to empower and encourage people towards an environment-friendly country.”
The top speed of the Elektrik Spock is 45kmph and with a single charge, it can clock 130km when being ridden in the economy mode and 100km in the power mode. To juice up the battery from dead, it will take 3 hours.

Some other interesting features of the Elektrik Spock include built-in GPS, USB port for charging smartphones, tubeless tyres, cargo box at the rear, hydraulic suspension, etc. The e-scooter is available in 6 colour options and there are a few accessories as well. Perhaps, some of these features would be optional which would justify the price range of Rs 65,000 to Rs 99,000 of the e-scooter.
As per Li-Ions Elektrik, the Spock is already sold out as it received full pre-bookings even before the prices were announced. That seems pretty impressive, isn’t it?
