Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is one of the most popular litre-class superbikes in India. Whether we’re talking about aesthetics, technology, or performance, it just never fails to impress. While this ‘Green Ninja’ is still fully capable to set race tracks on fire, there’s always room for improvement and Kawasaki keeps on implementing new changes in the bike. The latest Ninja ZX-10R comes with some new upgrades and is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The engine of the new ZX-10R gets a diamond-like carbon coated finger follower valve actuation system which replaces the tappet-style system. This reduces the mass by 20% and helps the engine to reach higher revs easily and quickly and stay there without breaking a sweat. Also, the cylinder head has been made ready to accept a high lift cam.

Another new feature that has been added is the Kawasaki Quick Shifter-Dual Direction (KQS) for seamless up or down gearshifts. Kawasaki has also played around with the peak power of the new ZX-10R. It now produces 203 PS (213 PS with RAM air) which is 3 PS more than before.
To help you tame this hulk, Kawasaki has provided various electronics like traction control, launch control, cornering management function, and much more. Kawasaki India says that the new ZX-10R is as close as it gets to be a part of the official Kawasaki World Superbike team.
The Ninja ZX-10R comes to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route and then assembled locally. This is why even after a price tag of Rs 13.99 lakh, the ZX-10R remains as the most affordable litre-class superbike in India. Booking for the new ZX-10R is currently open and deliveries to the customers who booked the bike during the pre-booking period will commence from mid of June.
