Suzuki Burgman Street is one of the best-selling 125cc scooters in the country. It recorded a sales of over 72,000 units in the last financial year and Suzuki is quite optimistic for the current one as well. To make sure things are carried forward in the same or even a better pace, Suzuki gives the Burgman Street a new matte black colour.
We have got a few spy shots of the scooter in its new colour shared by our colleagues at BikeAdvice. Matte black has got a charm of its own. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a 125cc scooter or a 125hp sports bike, if it’s in matte black, it will attract eyeballs.

The Burgman Street was already an attractive scooter thanks to its sporty design. And with the introduction of the new matte black colour option, Suzuki just made it even more desirable. The spy shots appear to be taken at a Suzuki dealership which could mean that the launch of this new colour is near. Although we don’t have an official statement from the company.
Apart from the colour, the rest of the scooter remains unchanged. It is powered by a 125 cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.7PS at 7000rpm and 10.2Nm at 5000rpm. It also has Suzuki’s SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology which enhances the fuel efficiency of the scooter.
Some of the other interesting features of the Suzuki Burgman Street include flexible foot-position, multi-function, fully-digital instrument panel with a Digital Clock, Fuel Gauge, Oil Change Indicator and a dual trip meter, body mounted windscreen, long and comfortable seat, an under-seat storage capacity of 21.5-litres, etc.

As far as the price is concerned, we don’t know whether Suzuki would ask for a premium for the new colour or not. All our doubts will be cleared once we have an official statement from the company. With the addition of the new matte black colour, the Burgman Street will have a total of four colours including the three old ones (Metallic Matt Fibroin Grey, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Mirage White).
