Triumph has just released a teaser video of its upcoming new Thruxton RS – a cafe racer with all the performance and looks you’d need. Being a teaser, it didn’t reveal much about the bike. The only thing shown was one of the side panels with Thruxton RS written on it.
Currently, Triumph sells its Thruxton R in India and that itself is a freaking brilliant motorcycle. Triumph also has the Thruxton TFC (Triumph Factory Customs) which is a limited edition model and gets a more premium treatment than the R.
The upcoming Thruxton RS would fit right in the middle. Since it is an RS, it should be more powerful than the R. Well, that’s how it goes with Triumph, right? See the recently revealed Street Triple RS for example. It is that much more better than the standard Street Triple.
So we are expecting the Thruxton RS to feature the same 1200cc twin-pot engine with more than 97hp (that’s the power output of the Thruxton R) and also get some upgraded equipment that Triumph offers with the Thruxton TFC. We could also see a model-specific colour and new graphics.
Triumph will reveal the new Thruxton RS on November 5th, at EICMA.
