There are only a handful of things that can remain hidden from the Internet but upcoming bikes aren’t one of them. The much anticipated Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 gets the same treatment. First, it was the specs and now a couple of clear pictures. Heck, there’s even a small video clip of the same. So, it’s quite obvious that the Gixxer SF 250 is no longer behind its veil.

The Gixxer SF 250 is a really important product for Suzuki India. The Japanese are trying to re-enter the quarter-litre segment with this one so it has to be good. And so far it looks like so.

The SF 250 isn’t just a beefed-up Gixxer with not-so-exciting looks and an added fairing. We’re glad that Suzuki developed a new design and, as per the leaked pictures, it looks pretty darn sporty to us.

Some of the features of the upcoming Gixxer SF 250 are clip-on handlebars, digital instrument cluster, split seats, dual barrel exhaust, LED headlight, dual-channel ABS, and much more. If we say that a few of them might have been borrowed from the less powerful Gixxer SF, we wouldn’t be wrong. Don’t you think?

This is a good view.

We’re very much interested in what is powering this machine. It’s a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine tuned to produce 26 horses and 22.6 Nm of torque. While the numbers look good, it’s the real-world performance of this engine that would make or break the new Gixxer in the market.

Another big factor that would decide its rise or fall is the price. There are no official details regarding this but it’s being speculated that it would cost somewhere between Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Everything doubt about the new Suzuki should be cleared today after it is launched.
