Previous reports about the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R got us at the edge of our chairs. Just like you, we too got pretty excited about it and kept our eyes and ears open for any update on the same. And our patience turned out to be somewhat fruitful.
Following are the latest updates-
- The Ninja ZX-25R would be manufactured by Motorcycle & Engine division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Japan. This suggests that the quality and reliability is going to be supreme.
- Indonesia would be the first market to get the ZX-25R and it will receive it via the CKD route to keep the cost in check.
- The Ninja ZX-25R would cost around IDR 100-130 million in Indonesia. This turns out to be approx Rs 5.08 to 6.61 lakh.
- Falsifying the previous reports/rumours, the update tells us that the ZX-25R would have 42-46PS of power and the rev limiter would kick in somewhere at 16-19k rpm.
Looking at these updates, it seems that things are slowly and finally falling into place. The ZX-25R is expected to be showcased at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show in October and then launched in Indonesia in 2020. We really hope that Kawasaki would bring it to India even though it would cost a bomb!
