Just last week, Royal Enfield released a small teaser video of its upcoming 2020 Himalayan and now the bike has been spotted at a dealership. This indicates that Royal Enfield would launch the new Himalayan very soon.

As we suspected before, the new Himalayan will get the 3 new colour options, Gravel Grey, Rock Red, and Lake Blue, which were showcased at the EICMA 2019. RE would continue to sell the previous colours as well.

The spy shots also confirm that the new bike will get a revised instrument cluster with an additional button to switch off ABS, more telltale signs, etc. There’s also a hazard toggle switch on the RHS switchgear. Apart from all this, there wouldn’t be any other major aesthetic change.

Powering the new Himalayan will be the same 411cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that produces 24.5 bhp and 32 Nm. RE has done certain changes to make it BS6 compliant. We can spot an updated cat-con in the bend pipe similar to that of the new BS6 Classic 350. No other mechanical changes are expected to have been implemented.

As for the pricing, it’s being speculated that the BS6 Royal Enfield Himalayan would be around Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 more expensive than the BS4 model.
