BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 now joins the updated BS6 Apache line-up. It has been launched in India in two variants – front disc/rear drum and dual disc – and is available at all TVS dealerships in the country.
BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 Specs
Just like the previous BS4 version, the new Apache RTR 160 continues to draw power from the 159.7cc, single-cylinder engine which has been one of the USPs of the bike. It used to produce 15.1 bhp of power and 13 Nm of torque.
Now, in the BS6 state of tune, this engine gets fuel injection and the output figures have gone up a bit – 15.5 bhp and 13.9 Nm. TVS says that the fuel-injection system is similar to that of the new Apache 4Vs and it will also offer “Glide Through Technology for low-speed urban riding and enable a smooth and controlled ride”.
BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 Colours
The new bike comes in 6 colour options – Pearl White, Matte Blue, Matte Red, Gloss Black, Gloss Red and T Grey – which are the same as before. However, TVS did slap on some new graphics just to enhance the bike’s visual appeal, differentiate it from the previous BS4 model, and keeps things fresh.
BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 Price
As we mentioned earlier, the BS6 Apache 160 gets two variants. For the base model with drum brake at the rear, you will have to pay Rs 93,500 and if you want to get that petal disc at the rear as well, the cost goes up by Rs 3,000 and the bike retails at Rs 96,500.
If we compare the prices of the new BS6 model with the BS4 model, the hike is of around Rs 6,000.
TVS is also expected to launch the BS6 Apache RR 310 on January 30.
