KTM brought a revolution in the Indian motorcycle industry ever since it stepped in the country. It started out with just a single product, Duke 200, and today, it has a got an impressive catalogue. And soon it’s going to add another product to it.

After the success of the Duke 125, which was launched earlier this year, reports suggest that KTM is going to launch the RC 125 in the country next month. The fully faired version of the Duke 125 will be up for sale in the 3rd week of June and deliveries of the same are most likely to commence from the first week of July.
Powering the new RC would be the same 124.7cc single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that has been employed in the Duke 125. It produces 14.5hp and 12Nm of torque. Most of the other mechanicals are likely to be borrowed as well, like the suspension setup, brakes with a single-channel ABS, instrument cluster, etc.

In terms of aesthetics, the RC 125 will look similar to its elder RC siblings. However, it will have a new colour and graphics combination to set it apart. It is already being sold in some international markets but the India-spec model would be slightly different with some modifications. For example, the mandatory saree guard, under-belly exhaust instead of side-mounted one, etc.
Considering the fact that the Duke 125 is priced at Rs 1.25 lakh, it’s being speculated that the upcoming RC 125 would be a bit pricey, somewhere around the Rs 1.45-1.5 lakh range.
