After the launch of the new Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer SF, Suzuki India planned to bring in the naked versions of both the motorcycles. The Japanese even confirmed the arrival of the Gixxer 250 in the coming few months. There were many speculations made about the styling of the naked bikes. Now, we have got a couple of leaked pictures of the Suzuki Gixxer 155 which will give a clear idea of how the new naked Gixxers will look like.
The main feature of the Suzuki Gixxer 155 that we got to know from these leaked images is the redesigned headlamp. It looks much better than that of the current model and is very likely going to be full LED. The rest of the bike looks very similar to that of its recently launched faired sibling.
The new headlight, while appears to be better-looking, isn’t too aggressive or sharp. It somehow gives a calmed-down feeling which doesn’t fit when you look at the other parts of the bike, for example, the chiselled fuel tank or the high-rise tail section.
The Gixxer 155 would also get the new and updated instrument cluster that we have seen in the new faired Gixxers. It should also have a new twin-port exhaust unit. Powering the Gixxer 155 will be the same single-cylinder engine that powers the Gixxer SF. It produces 14.1PS and 14Nm.
Considering the price of Rs 1.10 lakh of the Gixxer SF, it is being expected that its naked variant would fall just short of the Rs 1 lakh mark. Its main rivals will be the Yamaha FZ-S V2.0, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, TVS Apache RTR 160, Honda CB Hornet 160 R, Hero Xtreme Sports.
Now, since we have a look at the Gixxer 155, we can’t stop thinking that it is highly probable that the more powerful Gixxer 250 would look very similar. But we were expecting something much sportier and aggressive, Suzuki. Do you like this new look of the naked Gixxers?
