Bajaj Auto Ltd. today announced the launch of the highly anticipated KTM RC series of supersport motorcycles, the RC 390 and the RC 200. With more than 240 World Championship titles, KTM – Europe’s No.1 Motorcycle Brand comes from a rich world of motorcycle racing and all KTM motorcycles are built with direct race experience fed into them. Likewise the RC Supersport series comes with KTM’s vast experience and knowledge gained in the world of Moto3 which is the 250cc segment of MotoGP racing. KTM won the championship in 2012 with top 2 out of 3 positions and followed it up with a victory in the 2013 season by securing all the top 3 positions.
With such strong Racing Genes the KTM RC 390 is a superbike in its own right, with 43.5 Ps of serious power, 35 Nm of torque and a host of premium features like ABS by BOSCH, Metzeler tyres, Upside down forks by WP and an aluminum swingarm. Advanced aerodynamic design and a power to weight ratio of 262 Ps/tonne ensures that the RC 390 provides a ‘Pure Racing’ experience like no other motorcycle in the country.
The KTM RC 200 on the other hand would be the first motorcycle to bring full blooded Supersport design and looks in the 200cc motorcycle segment. The 200cc engine in the RC 200 produces 25 Ps of power and 19.2 Nm of torque. Twin projector headlamps at the front and a unique body integrated pillion seat give the RC 200 the superbike style while Moto3 inspired equipment like forged aluminum triple clamps, upside down forks and a steel trellis frame ensures that every ride on the bike is a race experience! The KTM RC 390 and RC 200 will be backed by a rapidly expanding network of 140 exclusive KTM dealerships in India.

The RC 390 and RC 200 have been launched at a price of Rs. 2,05,000 and Rs.1,60,000 respectively (Ex-showroom Delhi). Bookings for both the bikes would commence from the 10th September, 2014 at all KTM showrooms.
