The Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 Cafe Racer absolutely needs no introduction. In a short while since its launch it has captured the hearts of many with its old school styling. Its popularity is immense globally. Sadly though even with this popularity the sales numbers in India are not something Royal Enfield are happy with. Currently available in two colour options, Red and Yellow, Royal Enfield are adding the black colour option to attract more customers. We really liked both the existing colour options but the bright colours probably would have turned down a lot of buyers looking for a classy old school machine with a grunge look. The newly introduced black colour option dials down the oomph factor by quite a bit, but still looks the part. We cant help but think how it would look in the matt black colour option (Stone) that the Thunderbird comes in.
The Continental GT produces a healthy torque of 44 Nm at a low 4000 RPM and gets some quality parts. For example the chassis is all new and has been worked on by an external agency to strengthen and make it more agile, add the Pirelli Sport Demon tyres and the Brembo brakes to this mixture and this is definitely the best handling Royal Enfield yet.
