It was inevitable; the arrival of the KTM RC 125 in India. Ever since the Duke 125 hit the market, we knew that its faired-sibling wouldn’t be far behind. A few weeks ago, we saw a spy image of the test mule and later a new and funkier colour scheme was confirmed. Now, KTM has released an official teaser video of the same.

Being a teaser clip, it’s pretty short but it serves the purpose. We can see the new colour that the KTM RC 125 would be having. And the rest of the bike appears to be quite familiar. The RC 125 is already being sold in some international markets with a 125cc single, having 14.5PS of power and 12Nm of torque.
The RC 125 is going to be quite heavily equipped for a bike of its segment in India. Features like USD forks, projector headlamps, adjustable rear mono-shock, single-channel ABS, etc., would woo in a lot of new buyers. The RC 125 would be the perfect beginner’s bike, especially for those who like to have a sportbike in the future. This baby RC will help them to get their basics right.
Bookings for the RC 125 have now commenced across all KTM dealerships for a token amount of Rs 5,000. The launch of the bike is expected to happen in the first week of July whereas the deliveries would begin soon after.
Considering the Rs 1.30 lakh price of the Duke 125, it’s being speculated that the RC would cost around Rs 1.40 lakh. However, we are a little bit sceptical about the pricing in the coming future because KTM has hiked the price of the Duke 125 twice since its launch. So, if you really want to buy the RC 125, then go ahead and purchase it at the earliest to be on the safer side.
