We are eagerly waiting for KTM to launch the new Duke 790 in India. And now with a set of new pictures of the bike, our wait has become more painful and impatient! It looks so bloody awesome! As per the news, these pictures have been taken at a dealership in Mumbai. Check them out.
The Duke 790 looks like a beefed-up Duke 390; a mad machine. But there’s one thing that all Duke 790 owners in India would do first, get rid of the ugly saree guard and, if possible, even the ugly rear grab rail. The rest of the bike looks splendid!
Powering this monster is a 799cc, LC8c parallel-twin engine which produces 105PS of power and 86Nm of torque. It should sound pretty great with the stock exhaust. Anyway, it’s quite likely that people are going to replace that with an aftermarket exhaust.
To allow the rider to utilise the bike’s full potential, KTM has added an extensive electronics package that includes bi-directional quick-shifter, four riding modes – Sport, Street, Rain, and Track, traction control, and whatnot.
Various reports suggest that some dealerships in Delhi have already started accepting unofficial pre-bookings for a token amount of Rs 50,000. It is being speculated that the Duke 790 would be launched in India on 5th Sept. Fingers crossed!
