Ather Energy has launched its first retail outlet in Ahmedabad. This is Ather Energy’s fourth retail outlet in India after Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai. The outlet will display the brand’s scooters and the technology used in them, and it will also handle servicing of the scooters.
Ather Energy is a Bangalore-based EV manufacturer that makes some of the best-looking and most technologically advanced electric scooters in the country. The company was formed in 2013 and showcased its first prototype in 2016. In 2018, Ather Energy launched the 340 and 450 and started retail operations from its sole outlet in Bangalore.
Since then, the company has opened outlets in Chennai and Mumbai with plans to expand to a few other major metros in India. Ather has now opened an outlet at IIM Road, Ahmedabad, making it the first Ather Space in Gujarat.
The people of Gujarat seem to have loved the Ather 450X and the great response to the scooter has resulted in Ather Energy deciding to open a second Ather Space in Surat, Gujarat. The Ather Space in Surat is expected to commence operations in the second quarter of 2021.
It was only a few days ago that the company announced the commencement of operations at its new plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The new plant has increased the production capacity of Ather Energy which in turn will allow the company to handle the additional demand that is expected to come from the new retail outlets.
Ather Energy will soon expand to cities like Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Indore, Panaji, Surat, Nashik, Vishakhapatnam, etc. The company is also rumoured to be working on newer models.
