Ather Energy has unveiled its latest offering, the Rizta, at the second edition of the Ather Community Day in Bengaluru. Positioned as a family-friendly scooter, the Rizta prioritizes comfort, convenience, and safety, boasting a range of connected features like SkidControl and WhatsApp integration on the dashboard. Priced competitively for the mass market, the Rizta starts at INR 1,09,999 (Ex-showroom Bengaluru). The Rizta lineup consists of two models and three variants – Rizta S and Rizta Z, equipped with either a 2.9 kWh or a 3.7 kWh battery. The 2.9 kWh variants offer a predicted IDC range of 123 km, while the 3.7 kWh variant extends to 160 km. With a variety of color options, including monotone and dual-tone, Ather aims to cater to diverse consumer preferences.

Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder & CEO of Ather Energy, stated, “We initially entered the two-wheeler market with our performance-oriented 450 series, which garnered recognition within the industry. Now, with the Rizta, we’re stepping into the family segment, crafted specifically with the Indian family in mind. It emphasizes comfort, safety, and connected technology, setting it apart from conventional scooters in the market. The Rizta embodies Ather’s commitment to quality, reliability, and safety.”

Focusing on comfort and convenience, the Ather Rizta features a spacious seat, ample floorboard space, and a backrest in the Rizta Z model for enhanced pillion comfort. With abundant storage options, including a sizable under-seat compartment and an optional Frunk accessory, Ather aims to provide practicality for everyday use. Safety features such as SkidControl and additional features carried over from the 450 series ensure a secure riding experience.

In addition to the scooter launch, Ather introduced the HALO Smart Helmet range, featuring premium audio by Harman Kardon and innovative technologies such as auto WearDetect and wireless charging. Ather HALO Bit, an add-on module compatible with Ather’s half-face helmets, further enhances the smart features.

Ather also rolled out AtherStack 6.0, an update to its software stack, introducing new features like WhatsApp integration on the dashboard, live location sharing, and Alexa Smart Assistant integration. The revamped mobile app provides personalized insights and a seamless ownership experience.

Bookings for the Ather Rizta are now open, with deliveries scheduled to begin in June 2024. Prices start at INR 1,09,999 for the Rizta S variant and go up to INR 1,44,999 for the top-end Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery (ex-showroom Bengaluru).
