The Tuono 457 has been crafted with an entirely new design, featuring a minimalistic front light cluster unique to this model, replacing the traditional fairing integrated into the frame. This pared-back look maintains the legendary Aprilia Tuono identity, blending familiar elements like the distinctive triple LED headlight with innovative updates. An ergonomic fuel tank complements the wide handlebar for dynamic riding, while the rear LED light cluster and visible twin-cylinder engine contribute to the bike’s aggressive aesthetic. The exhaust is situated under the engine, allowing a streamlined design and increased freedom for passenger footrest placement.

Powered by a cutting-edge 457 cc twin-cylinder engine, the Tuono 457 boasts a maximum output of 47.6 hp at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. This high-performance engine, optimized to minimize internal friction, is compact and lightweight, achieving a dry weight of just 159 kg. The engine integrates features from Aprilia’s renowned V4 engines, such as Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) surface-treated piston pins and an advanced lubrication system. A revised final drive gives the Tuono 457 a shorter ratio for quick responsiveness, with a lower gearing than the RS 457 to enhance the bike’s aggressive character.

Aprilia has crafted the Tuono 457’s aluminium frame with the expertise gained through racing experience, achieving a perfect balance between rigidity and weight. Using Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) and extensive on-road testing, Aprilia has designed a chassis optimized for superior handling and stability, delivering the intuitive front-end feel that defines Aprilia bikes. Adjustable suspensions enhance ride control, including a preload-adjustable 41 mm front fork and an adjustable rear shock with an asymmetrical steel swingarm.
The braking system features dual 320 mm front discs with radial-mounted ByBre calipers and a 220 mm rear disc, assisted by Bosch’s dual-channel ABS with two selectable settings. The 17-inch wheels with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires add to the bike’s nimbleness.
Aprilia Tuono 457 Enhanced Electronics for Control and Customization
The Tuono 457 includes advanced electronics that elevate riding pleasure and safety. Its Ride-by-Wire system offers three Riding Modes (ECO, SPORT, RAIN) that adjust power delivery and traction control based on conditions. Traction control can be set independently in each mode, while the ABS can be configured for front-only braking.
The 5-inch TFT display comes standard, with optional Aprilia MIA connectivity for smartphone pairing, enabling navigation and multimedia control. Riders can also add the AQS Quick Shifter for clutchless shifting.
