After a thrilling Season ‘24, Royal Enfield is kicking off the next chapter of the Continental GT Cup, and it’s bigger, faster, and more inclusive than ever. Registrations are now live, and the hunt for raw racing talent is expanding to eight cities across India — including Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Guwahati, Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Bangalore.

All that’s needed to throw your hat in the ring? A valid driving license and a passion for racing.

Staying true to its ‘Street to Track’ philosophy, Royal Enfield has doubled the number of zonal selection rounds this year — up from four to eight — giving more amateur riders a shot at living their track racing dreams. Whether you’re an everyday rider or someone who’s always wanted to try racing, the GT Cup is all about accessibility. Riders can sign up under the amateur or professional category based on their experience level.

Each city’s selection round will span two days: Day 1 focuses on training with top-notch instructors from the Royal Enfield Track School, while Day 2 is all about laying down those lap times to secure a spot in the main event.

What’s even more exciting is the return of the Pro-Am format, which mixes amateurs and pros on the same grid — turning up the heat on every race. The popular Twin Power Trophy also returns, pairing each pro with an amateur to form a team. It’s not just about racing anymore; it’s about mentorship, learning, and real growth on the track.

Last season wrapped up on November 17, 2024, with an overwhelming response — over 5000 registrations. With eight zonal rounds this year, 64 amateur riders will be selected (8 from each zone). These racers, along with 50 pro riders, will head to Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore from July 3–6, 2025, for the final selection. Only the top 24 riders will make it to the championship grid — setting the stage for a four-month racing showdown starting in August 2025 and culminating in November, with eight adrenaline-fueled races over three rounds.

Started back in 2021, the Continental GT Cup was Royal Enfield’s way of bringing motorsport to the masses. Held under the JK Tyre National Racing Championship and FMSCI, it features race-prepped Continental GT-R650 bikes — all built to the same specs so that it’s the rider’s skill that truly shines. With its café racer soul, the GT 650 is still one of the most iconic bikes on the track.

The Royal Enfield Track School, currently based in Coimbatore, plays a huge role in this journey — helping newcomers learn the ropes of track racing. The plan is to take this school to more cities soon, building an even stronger community of racers across the country.

The GT Cup is also part of Royal Enfield’s broader global motorsports program, which includes Build. Train. Race. in the US, flat track racing in the UK and US, drag racing in Europe and India, and Slide Schools in six countries.
