TVS Motor Company has announced the appointment of Gaurav Gupta as President of its India Two-Wheeler (2W) business. Based in Bengaluru, Gaurav will report directly to K N Radhakrishnan, Director & CEO of TVS Motor Company. In his new role, Gaurav will oversee the company’s India 2W operations, encompassing both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) segments. With over three decades of experience spanning diverse geographies such as India, China, Dubai, Indonesia, Vietnam, and ASEAN markets, Gaurav brings a wealth of expertise to the position.
Commenting on the appointment, K. N. Radhakrishnan stated, “Gaurav’s extensive experience and deep industry knowledge will add significant value to TVS Motor Company. The company has been on a consistent growth path, consistently outperforming industry benchmarks. Before joining TVSM, Gaurav held key leadership positions at JSW MG Motor India (formerly MG Motor India), where he served as an Executive Committee member, Deputy Managing Director, and Chief Growth Officer. Over his 6.5-year tenure, he played a critical role in building and scaling MG Motor India’s commercial operations from the ground up, leaving a lasting impact on the Indian automotive sector.
Gaurav’s career also includes a notable stint as Managing Director of Bridgestone Tire Indonesia, where he led both domestic and export operations. Prior to that, he spent two decades with General Motors, holding various leadership roles across the Asia-Pacific region, including Managing Director positions at General Motors Indonesia and General Motors Vietnam. Additionally, Gaurav has contributed to the American Chamber of Commerce as both Chair and board member.
A Physics graduate with an MBA, Gaurav is known for his passion for travel, technology, philanthropy, and the occasional round of golf. His diverse interests and global perspective align well with TVS Motor Company’s vision of innovation and growth in the evolving automotive landscape.
