Royal Enfield has started road testing new generation models of the Classic and the Thunderbird. The new Classic will have the same body silhouette as the current version although the tail portion will be redesigned along with chrome surrounds. The disc brake at the rear is positioned differently on the bike’s right side . The new model will have a BS-VI compliant engine and even the 350 is expected to get fuel injection. Alloy wheels will also be offered as an option. Coming to the Thunderbird, the rear number plate is slotted at the end of the fender along with an updated saddle zone, the overall X theme is maintained with it looking more polished and fuller than before. The silencer also seems to be a new one.

Apart from this, we are also hearing news of Royal Enfield entering the 200-250cc category with an all new engine platform. All though there have been no confirmed spotting of these, these engines will be more modern and in tune with current times as how the Himalayan platform is.
