Reading Annual reports of companies is a boring affair to most, but to those of whom it makes sense, it contains valuable inside details on the company’s future and plans. One such annual report from KTM gives us some confirmed information that the KTM–Bajaj connection is now working on bigger Duke, a 375cc one to be exact. The documents show that the company is working on a 375cc engine, what this means is a bigger, meaner and faster Duke that could take on the upcoming CBR500 and the possible naked Kawasaki Z300. Now engine wise we have confirmed reports that it is going to be a single cylinder engine, producing power close to 45bhp. Considering the fact that it will be placed in the same super light frame of the Duke 200, this Duke 375 is going to be a rocket on roads.
Another interesting information in the documents was that KTM is working on a V-twin engine platform as well. This could well be for the faired 250cc Moto3 based faired bike of which we had heard earlier. Expected launch for the Duke 375 is in 2013 and mostly in the second half of the year, also there is an off chance that the bike might be announced at the EICMA next month.
