The Indian motorcycling scene has been on a steep climb these past few years. And with social media coming to the rescue of talented folk hidden away far from the major cities, we really are getting to see some special talent out there, talent that needs to be brought to the limelight. The number of custom builds and builders have been going up exponentially and the rare few are taking the game even further forward with some really beautiful creations and concepts. We will always be fans of custom motorcycles and yard builds. It takes a certain type of people to dedicate that sort of time and effort to make one. While the typical yard builds are not yet common in India, the custom motorcycle world has definitely picked up. In the build world, custom Royal Enfield‘s are probably the most sought out for.
Today we introduce to you, Dochaki Custom Motorcycles, started by Anupam Singh Parihar and their latest build the Cobra. Based on a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350, the Cobra is a tribute to the iconic Shelby Cobra with a scrambler theme thrown in. The vision for the motorcycle has been simple, create a scrambler that is practical and usable and not one that sits in a garage or the front room. A motorcycle that can handle all the surprises that our roads can provide. Custom paint job and pinstriping apart, the Custom Royal Enfield – Cobra receives, hand crafted body panels, a custom petrol tank, high rear fender, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres and street friendly handlebars. The engine has been tweaked for better power and a smoother overall feel. The dual headlights, LED tail light and a custom instrument console give the finishing touch of adding a bit of the modern world to the overall retro theme. The Custom Royal Enfield – Cobra took over 2 months to build and sure does look good. Looking forward to what these guys come up with in the future.
