The Aprilia RS 660 and Tuono 660 were among the most-awaited motorcycles of 2020. Aprilia announced the RS 660 mid-weight supersport motorcycle back in 2019 and motorcycle enthusiasts around the world waited with bated breath for the debut of this motorcycle.

Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts also figured out that Aprilia would stick to their product strategy and hence an Aprilia Tuono 660 too would eventually be launched. This set the rumour mills going, and over the last few months, we have seen renderings of how it could look. Now we know for sure that this is how the Tuono 660 looks.

Up front is a twin LED headlamp similar to the one found on the RS 660. The side profile of the motorcycle is characterised by a compact bikini fairing that the Tuono series is well-known for. At the bottom, the motorcycle features cowling that accentuates the sporty roadster feel. The rear-end too seems pretty similar to that of the Aprilia RS 660.

The position of the rider in the spy image reveals that the motorcycle is sporty in nature. The Aprilia Tuono 60 will carry over the same set of features we have already seen in the RS 660. Instrumentation duties will be handled by a full-colour TFT.  The motorcycle will also get cruise control, up/down quickshifter, engine brake control, traction control, adjustable wheelie control, three-level cornering ABS, etc.

The Aprilia Tuono 660 will be powered by the same engine as the RS 660. It is a liquid-cooled, 659cc, parallel-twin engine with a maximum power output of 100bhp at 10,500rpm and a peak torque output of 67Nm at 8,500rpm. A 6-speed gearbox drives the rear wheel.

Aprilia also recently confirmed that the RS 660 and Tuono 660 will be launched in India in 2021. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer also confirmed the development of an RS 400 and a Tuono 400. Exciting times lay ahead for Aprilia fans.
