KTM has been testing its 390 Adventure for quite some time now and has even confirmed its launch in India this year. Well, it was around three months ago when we last heard about the 390 Adventure. Now, there’s some new news which suggests that KTM might be working on a 250 Adventure as well. Does that sound feasible to you?
Prominently, KTM is going to use the Duke 390’s engine in the 390 Adventure. It might tune it a bit to suit the bike’s character but otherwise, it’ll be the same unit. So if KTM borrows the styling and construction of the upcoming 390 Adventure and throws in the Duke 250’s engine, then it could have a 250 Adventure!
Okay, fine. It isn’t as easy as it sounds but yes, it sure seems feasible. We haven’t heard about the 250 Adventure yet. Just like we didn’t hear about the Duke 250 until it was launched. Perhaps, KTM might be trying to work out something similar; launch 390 Adventure and bring along the 250 Adventure.
Just like the Duke 250 and Duke 390, their Adventure counterparts would have the same differences and similarities. For example, the full-colour TFT dash of the 390 wouldn’t be implemented in the 250. Also, the lack of LED headlight could also be a possibility.
We recently saw KTM RC 250 at an auto show in one of our neighbouring countries. And considering the growing 250cc segment in India, KTM might just bring the RC 250 as well. We hope it does. As of now, KTM is busy in preparing for the launch of the Duke 790!
