We’ve been hearing about the Duke 790 and its launch in India for quite some time now. In fact, the bike had been spotted several times in the past few weeks hinting at an imminent launch soon. However, there was no official word from the Austrian brand, until now. KTM India has confirmed that it will launch the Duke 790 on 23rd September!
Undoubtedly, one of the most anticipated bikes of the year, Duke 790 is expected to cause a stir in its respective segment in the market. KTM is known for its aggressive and high-performance motorcycles and that’s why the excitement among the enthusiasts regarding the Duke 790 is immense!
KTM will be bringing the Duke 790 in India via the CKD route to keep the cost in check. The bike will be assembled at Bajaj’s facility in Chakan. Talking about price, of course, we will get to know it at the launch but if we had to make a wild guess, we would say it would be somewhere in the range of Rs 8-9 lakh (ex-showroom).
One of the key features of the KTM Duke 790 is its 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine which churns out 105bhp and 86Nm. Thankfully, KTM hasn’t played around with these figures for the Indian variant. With those numbers and its lightweight, the Duke 790 is most likely be a mad-machine!
