Ever since Aprilia showcased its Tuono 150 and RS 150 at the Auto Expo 2018, we’ve been craving for them to see the light of the day here in India. However, that didn’t happen. Then, a few days ago we reported about Aprilia planning to showcase and perhaps launch a 150cc bike at the Auto Expo 2020; maybe the GPR 150. Now, we think that its elder sibling, GPR 250, would be present too.
Aprilia GPR 250 has been unveiled recently in China. It draws inspiration from the mighty RSV4. Powering it is a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single, that produces 26.5hp and 22Nm and is mated to a 6-speed ‘box. While the numbers won’t be exceptional, the fact that the bike weighs just 150kg would definitely boost the performance.
We’ve got a few pictures of the GPR 250 and we can spot some of its key features. For example, it gets USD forks at the front, clip-ons, radial front brake caliper, semi-digital instrument console, etc. It is also equipped with dual-channel ABS.
Of course, it looks fantastic! It’s an Aprilia after all. We aren’t even considering the fit, finish, and quality of materials. Everything is expected to be top-notch.
Although nothing is official, we would like Aprilia to showcase the GPR 250 along with its 150cc (Tuono 150, RS 150, or GPR 150) bike at the Auto Expo 2020.
Wouldn’t you want the same?
