KTM took its sweet time to launch the 790 Duke in India, which received very mixed opinions, especially regarding the pricing. Anyway, for those who like the 790 Duke but are more into adventure riding, they must be waiting for KTM to bring the 790 Adventure in the country. Well, what we’ve heard so far is that KTM would launch the 790 Adventure sometime next year.

The 790 Adventure shares many parts and components with the 790 Duke, however, the added features and equipment make it quite expensive. It’s being speculated that when launched, it would be around 20% pricier than the 790 Duke. And we are talking about the standard 790 Adventure and not the more hardcore R variant, which could also be considered for our market.

Some of the key features of the KTM 790 Adventure would be its 21-in front wheel, 43mm USD fork at the front, twin 320mm discs with radially-mounted 4-piston calipers, 20-litres capacity fuel tank, 850mm seat height, 233mm of ground clearance, etc.

Powering the bike is the same 799cc, parallel-twin engine that we’ve seen in the 790 Duke. However, in the 790 Adventure, it will already be tuned to meet BS 6 emission norms.

There’s still time before KTM actually brings the 790 Adventure in India. Right now, we just know that it’ll happen next year. When next year, that’s still unknown. It is the 390 Adventure that’s lined up next and will be launched at IBW 2019 in December.
