In a significant move for the iconic Italian motorcycle brand, MV Agusta has announced that Art of Mobility S.A., a company controlled by the Sardarov family, will regain full control of the MV Agusta Group. This marks the official separation of MV Agusta from KTM, ensuring the brand’s complete independence and allowing it to continue its upward trajectory without being impacted by KTM’s ongoing financial restructuring.

The decision comes at a pivotal moment for MV Agusta, which has enjoyed a remarkable year of success. However, recent financial developments at PIERER Mobility AG (KTM’s parent company) could have posed challenges for the Schiranna-based brand. This strategic agreement ensures that MV Agusta remains unaffected by these external factors, safeguarding its operations and enabling it to build on its recent achievements.

Over the past 18 months, MV Agusta has undergone a transformative period, bolstering its financial stability under a revitalized management team. The results speak for themselves: in 2024, the company sold 4,000 motorcycles, achieving an impressive 116% annual growth rate compared to 2023. By July of this year, MV Agusta had already matched its total sales from the previous year. Additionally, 2024 has been a record-breaking year for parts sales, with a 99% availability rate for models produced up to seven years ago.

This move also underscores MV Agusta’s commitment to protecting its valued network of suppliers and dealers. By shielding them from potential financial disruptions tied to KTM’s restructuring, the company reinforces its stability and dedication to its stakeholders.

A Strong and Growing Global Presence

MV Agusta’s global sales network remains robust, with all 219 active sales points—including 41 service centers—continuing to operate as usual. The company expects to expand this network to 270 locations by the end of the year. Additionally, 20 non-European importers are already part of the distribution network, playing a crucial role in the brand’s 2024 success. These business partners will remain key contributors to MV Agusta’s future growth.

Independence and Innovation at the Core

With its operations fully independent, MV Agusta continues to thrive from its headquarters in Varese, Italy. The city remains the central hub for all critical activities, including product development, production, sales, marketing, and after-sales services. The development of the next generation of motorcycles is progressing as planned, promising an innovative and exclusive range that stays true to the brand’s celebrated claim: ‘Motorcycle Art.’

A Vision for the Future

Timur Sardarov, CEO of Art of Mobility S.A., expressed his pride in this milestone:

“This is a moment of pride for all of us at MV Agusta. Regaining full control of the company means we are now stronger and more focused than ever on delivering excellence. Over the past two years, the company has significantly strengthened its processes, systems, and workforce. These structural changes are the foundation of the extraordinary results achieved in 2024 and will continue to drive our success in the years to come. I have full confidence in our leadership team, whose vision, combined with the dedication and professionalism of our renewed dealer network, will take MV Agusta to new heights. My commitment, and that of my family, is to be a vital force for the Varese team, the region, and all our partners.”
