Ducati has unveiled a brand-new look for the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak for 2027, giving its high-performance crossover a serious dose of track-inspired attitude. It draws direct visual inspiration from the factory team’s Desmosedici GP and Panigale V4 R machines competing in MotoGP and the Superbike World Championship.
Designed in tandem by the Centro Stile Ducati and Drudi Performance, the exclusive new “Pikes Peak” livery fuses signature race-bred graphics, bold colour combinations, and dynamic surface finishes to highlight the bike’s pure racing DNA.
Born From Hill-Climb Greatness
The V4 Pikes Peak celebrates Ducati’s historic triumphs at the iconic American hill climb, directly tracing its roots back to the original Multistrada 1200 concept. It bridges the gap between raw track performance and practical touring usability—packing a genuine superbike heart alongside long-travel sports suspension, protective bodywork, a single-sided swingarm, and built-in luggage mounting capabilities.
To complement its sharp new aesthetic, Ducati equips the bike with a stack of premium factory bits:
- Carbon-fibre elements: Carbon front mudguard and front “beak” featuring the official Ducati Corse badge.
- Exhaust & Wind protection: A street-legal, homologated titanium Akrapovič silencer paired with a low smoked windscreen.
- Details: Unmistakable gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders and a custom seat stamped with the V4 logo.
Superbike Performance & Chassis Dynamics
Underneath the fresh paint, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak relies on a high-revving 1,158 cc Ducati V4 Granturismo engine. The unit pushes out 170 hp at 10,750 rpm and 124 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm, offering an exceptionally linear torque curve across the entire rev band.
Just like Ducati Corse’s MotoGP machinery, the engine utilizes a counter-rotating crankshaft to counteract the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, vastly improving agility through tight corners.
Chassis & Hardware Specs
- Wheels & Tyres: 17-inch five-spoke forged aluminium Marchesini wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres (120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 rear).

The ergonomic setup on the Pikes Peak variant is tuned specifically for aggressive road riding. Compared to the standard Multistrada V4, the footpegs are mounted higher and set further back to increase maximum lean angles. Up top, the handlebar sits lower, narrower, and features a flatter bend for precise front-end feedback.
Electronics are equally sharp. Alongside four Power Modes and five selectable Riding Modes (Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet), the dedicated Race Riding Mode tweaks the rev limiter strategy to intervene more gradually near the top end, signaling shifts earlier. The Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up & Down system is calibrated for aggressive downshifting, while High Power Mode delivers an immediate throttle connection.

The bike borrows the top-tier electronic suite straight from the Multistrada V4 S, monitored via a Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and displayed on a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT dashboard with Ducati Connect app integration.
