Renault India has launched the all-new Triber 100PS. Debuting the brand’s modular Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP) in the country, this latest addition brings turbocharged performance and comprehensive structural engineering while keeping prices under ₹9 lakh.
With prices starting from INR 7.84 Lakh (ex-showroom), it stands as a unique proposition in the Indian market by offering 7-seat versatility, turbo performance, high fuel efficiency, and sub-4-metre tax benefits in one package.

Debut of the New RGEP Architecture
The Triber 100PS is the first vehicle in India built on the new Renault Group Entry Platform (RGEP). Developed to support future mobility requirements and various powertrain solutions, this adaptable architecture complies with evolving regulatory needs and customer expectations while setting the foundation for better performance, ride quality, and handling.
Rather than being a simple engine upgrade, the vehicle is a ground-up re-engineering effort built around the RGEP foundation. The brand has introduced extensive developments across engine management, thermal systems, chassis tuning, and structural integration to deliver an upgraded driving feel.
Engine, Performance, and Dynamics Built from Scratch
At the heart of the new model is the turbocharged Turbo TCe 100 powertrain, which produces 100 PS and a segment-leading 180 Nm of torque for confident acceleration across diverse driving conditions.
Supporting this engine is the brand-new Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS), designed to balance responsiveness, efficiency, and power delivery. The mechanical and structural setup includes:
- Renault Engine Management System (R-EMS)
- Advanced thermal management architecture: Features a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) cooling fan—a technology typically seen in higher-segment vehicles, hybrids, and EVs—for precise cooling, improved energy efficiency, and thermal performance.
- New structural enhancements: Upgrades designed to boost overall durability and crash test performance.
- Chassis and suspension tweaks: Includes revised suspension geometry, front and rear anti-roll bars, and MTV Damper Technology.
- Braking and vehicle dynamics: Features an optimized braking system calibration alongside dedicated vehicle dynamics tuning tailored for Indian road conditions.
Despite the power boost, the model achieves a certified 21 kmpl fuel efficiency rating, making it one of the most fuel-efficient 7-seaters in India.

Despite the engineering updates, the car maintains its core focus on interior space and modular seating configurations for 5, 6, or 7 occupants. Over 2.5 lakh Triber units have been sold in India to date.
- Flexible Cabin Layouts: Features over 100 seating combinations, including Easy-Fix removable third-row seats, slide-and-recline second-row seats, and one-touch tumble access.
- Boot and Storage Capacity: Offers a segment-leading expandable boot space of 625 litres in the 5-seat configuration, 23 litres of interior storage space, and roof rails capable of carrying up to 50 kg.
- Dimensions and Taxes: Maintains its sub-four-metre footprint, 182 mm ground clearance, and 1.0-litre engine displacement, qualifying for the lower 18% GST rate applicable to small petrol cars in India.
Comfort, Technology, and Safety Features
The interior and exterior feature lists vary by variant, offering modern equipment for passenger comfort:
- Infotainment & Connectivity: 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital LED instrument cluster, and a wireless charger.
- Cabin Comfort: Automatic air-conditioning, independent rear air-conditioning with dedicated 2nd and 3rd-row vents, cruise control, push-button start/stop, and a Smart Access Card.
- Visibility & Lighting: LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, rain-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps.
- Safety Equipment: Comes with 21 standard safety features, including 6 airbags as standard. Higher variants add front parking sensors, a rear parking camera with dynamic guidelines, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
