The 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler has officially launched at INR 8.55 lakhs (ex-showroom). The 900 cc parallel twin liquid cooled engine and 5-speed gearbox are shared with the Street Twin although the chassis is slightly different. The Street Scrambler will be imported in the form of CKD kits and bookings are already being taken by Triumph India across its dealerships.
The 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler has witnessed a bump up in power by 18% which is now 65 Ps while the rev range has been enhanced by 500 rpm with the engine redlining at 7500 rpm. Triumph has stated that peak torque of 80 Nm remains the same but will now be available from 3200 rpm.
There is a new magnesium cam cover and dead shafts along with a lightweight crankshaft and balance shafts. There is a lighter clutch with the cover being mass optimised. There are now riding modes with the introduction of Off-Road, Rain and Road modes. The 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler gets 41 mm KYB cartridge forks along with 120 mm travel for boosting overall handling and stability. There are new four piston calliper brakes from Brembo along with a tweaked seat cover, revamped logo and new graphics for the instrument cluster.
