The Honda Dio is the original sporty scooter that set many hearts throbbing and getting in queue to own one. In 2012 the sharp and minimalistic lines of the this scooter was replaced with a slightly more curvy design. Initially we were sad of the radical design change but soon enough the new design actually started to grow on us. It was more beautiful in a totally different way and was a rather unique design that still appealed to the youth. Last year Honda updated their entire scooter fleet with HET ( Honda Eco technology) and this had a positive impact on the mileage the Dio delivered. For 2015 Honda have decided to update the colour options available for the Dio and we must say they look good. All four colour options for the Honda Dio are dual tone ones and enhance the sporty appeal of the scooter. Namely the new colour options are Jazzy Blue Metallic, Sports Red, Candy Palm Green and Black. The ex-showroom price of the new Honda Dio is at Rs. 50,505/- for Bangalore.
The Honda Dio has always been a fun scooter to ride. The slightly more sporty riding position it offers enables the rider to be more confident on the scooter. The only department that it lacked a special something was the power segment. The 109 cc engine surely now needs to be replaced at least with the 125cc engine that Honda already has on the Activa 125. This little change for sure will increase the sporty appeal of this scooter. Lets just hope Honda is listening.
