The ceremony included dignitaries, dealers, and business partners, marking a significant milestone for Bajaj Auto‘s global expansion. This new plant reinforces Bajaj Auto’s position as the “World’s Favourite Indian” brand, with its vehicles now reaching customers in over 100 countries.
Building Local Capabilities for Brazilian Market
Located strategically in Manaus (Av. do Turismo, nº 13.529 – Bairro Tarumã), the 9,600-square-meter plant boasts cutting-edge technology for engine and vehicle assembly, alongside comprehensive testing facilities. With a production capacity of 20,000 units per year (single shift), the plant leverages Manaus’s favorable tax benefits and proximity to key supply chains and transportation hubs.
State-of-the-Art Manufacturing for Superior Quality
The Manaus plant incorporates advanced, automated production lines with integrated quality control systems. Seamlessly connected conveyor and transfer systems ensure efficient manufacturing. Utilizing the Protheus ERP system, the plant optimizes operations across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and HR. Initially focused on Dominar models, the plant will expand to include Pulsar models in the future.

Record-Time Completion & Commitment to Quality
Constructed within a year (commenced June 2023), the plant signifies Bajaj Auto’s dedication to the Brazilian market. Achieving ISO certification underlines its commitment to quality and operational excellence. Bajaj do Brasil has successfully integrated local suppliers, sourcing key motorcycle parts and components within Manaus.
