Meet the updated 2025 Pulsar NS400Z — now packing more punch, smarter tech, and sharper styling. The new NS400Z is a direct response to rider feedback, and the upgrades speak volumes. Price Tag? ₹1,92,328 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Big One: Segment-First Quick-Shifter

The NS400Z now comes with a clutch-less, full-throttle gear-shifting system — and it’s the first bike in its class to do so. Developed alongside Bosch, this system is exclusive to Sport mode and caters to riders who love to push their machines to the limit. No clutch, no throttle roll-off — just flick through gears like a pro. While not your typical Quick Shifter, it uses the Gear Position Sensor and some clever programming to mimic the function of a Quick Shifter. Works best only in aggressive riding style situations and hence enabled only in Sports Mode.

What’s Else is New Under the Hood?

The updated Pulsar NS400Z doesn’t just look sharper — it is sharper.

Power gets a bump, with the 373cc engine now making 43PS (up from 40PS), thanks to tweaks in the valvetrain, cam timings, and intake system. Bajaj has also thrown in a forged piston, which helps the engine run cooler, reduce internal friction, and handle the extra grunt more reliably.

The performance gains are real:

  • 0-60 kmph now takes just 2.7 seconds (down from 3.2)
  • 0-100 kmph drops to 6.4 seconds (from 7.5)
  • Top speed rises to 157 kmph (up from 150) — all without compromising on fuel efficiency

The upgrades aren’t just in the engine bay. The radiator cowl has been redesigned to channel heat away from the rider’s legs — a small touch that makes a big difference in the real world.

Grip and handling also get a boost, thanks to new radial tyres at both ends, including a wider 150-section rear tyre. Braking gets beefed up too, with a sintered front brake pad now fitted to handle the extra speed with more bite and confidence.

All in, the NS400Z is quicker, cooler, grippier, and stops better — a proper upgrade where it matters most.
