Maruti Suzuki has dropped the first official teaser for the new Brezza, giving fans a taste of what’s coming ahead of its launch on 24th July 2026. Alongside the teaser, the brand has confirmed that bookings for the 2026 Maruti Brezza are now open, marking the first major update for the second-generation Brezza since it landed back in 2022. Anyone keen to get their name down can head to an authorised dealership or book online with a deposit of Rs 11,000.
The teaser itself plays coy on specifics, with Maruti hyping it up as the season’s standout reveal and teasing that it’s about to make a splash. It doesn’t give away much about the SUV directly, but the video does offer a look at the facelifted Brezza’s silhouette and a few glimpses of its profile.
What to expect from the new Brezza
The Brezza facelift looks set to bring some solid upgrades both mechanically and inside the cabin. Top of the list is the expected addition of Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, the same unit already doing duty in the Fronx. In that guise, the engine puts out 100 PS and 147.6 Nm of torque, and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The current 1.5-litre K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine is expected to soldier on in the line up too. Meanwhile, the CNG variant could see a genuinely useful upgrade, with reports pointing to an underbody-mounted CNG cylinder replacing the current boot-mounted tank – freeing up much-needed boot space in the process.
More kit, subtle styling tweaks
Spy shots of the new Brezza have shown fairly mild cosmetic changes, including updated front and rear bumpers, refreshed lighting units and a new set of alloy wheels. Inside, expect revised upholstery, new trim finishes and a handful of extra features to sweeten the deal.
On the equipment front, the Brezza facelift is tipped to come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, front ventilated seats, a powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting and other convenience-focused additions. There had been chatter about ADAS making its way onto the facelifted Brezza, but sources suggest that won’t be the case this time round – the new Brezza is expected to skip an ADAS suite altogether.
Could the turbo engine mean a lower tax bracket?
One of the more interesting angles to the Brezza facelift could be how Maruti prices the turbo variants. Because the 1.0-litre turbo engine falls within the lower GST slab reserved for sub-4 metre petrol vehicles with engines up to 1.2 litres, there’s a real possibility Maruti could price these variants pretty competitively.

Once it arrives, the updated SUV will carry on competing against rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Toyota Taisor and the rest of the sub-4m SUV pack.
