What’s Carried Over From The Previous Model Year

The MY27 Ninja 300 holds onto the premium touches that were introduced in the outgoing model, rather than reinventing the wheel. That means riders still get a larger floating windscreen for better wind protection, a projector headlight borrowed in spirit from the Ninja ZX-6R for sharper night-time visibility, and a revised tyre pattern designed to deliver strong grip, stability and confidence across different riding conditions.

2026 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Design

True to Kawasaki’s “mass-forward, minimalist-tail” design language, the MY27 Ninja 300 has a dynamic silhouette that’s instantly recognisable as part of the Ninja family. Sharp, flowing fairings, a sleek tail section, premium aluminium footpegs and that signature floating windscreen all combine to give the bike road presence well beyond its 296cc capacity. Riders also get a multi-function instrument panel that lays out all the key information clearly, blending everyday practicality with genuine sporty character.

Engine And Performance Highlights

At the heart of the Ninja 300 sits what Kawasaki describes as the smoothest engine in its segment, a 296cc parallel-twin that delivers smooth, torquey power through the low and mid rpm range along with strong acceleration up top. That translates into confident low-speed manoeuvring, precise throttle control for fine adjustments, and a satisfying surge of acceleration lower down the rev range, while a balancer keeps vibrations in check and ample top-end performance makes for comfortable highway cruising.

Like its bigger siblings the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R, the Ninja 300 uses dual throttle valves, which not only give a natural, linear throttle response but also help boost performance, combustion efficiency and fuel economy.

The Assist and Slipper Clutch, drawing on racing-derived technology, works as both a back-torque limiter and a self-servo mechanism, resulting in a noticeably lighter clutch lever pull.

Heat management has had some thought put into it too. Large openings in the fairing encourage airflow to help dissipate engine heat, while the fin design helps route hot engine air away from the rider for added comfort. A newly added radiator fan cover, positioned behind the radiator, directs hot air down and away from the rider, making a real difference in heavy traffic. This also helps keep the tank, frame and other rider-contact points cooler for a more comfortable ride overall.

Chassis

The Ninja 300 uses a rugged steel-tube diamond frame, chosen for its high strength and durability, both crucial in a performance-focused motorcycle. The rear section of the frame is mounted at a flatter angle to help offset the increase in seat height that comes from the larger rear tyre.

Speaking on the launch, Mr Yutaka Yamashita, Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd., said the Ninja 300 has cemented itself as one of the most iconic motorcycles in Kawasaki’s global line-up and remains a benchmark in the entry-level twin-cylinder SuperSport segment. He added that with the MY27 model, the brand is pleased to continue offering a motorcycle that brings proven performance, premium quality and everyday usability to Indian riders, while staying true to Kawasaki’s reputation for engineering, reliability and performance.
