India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has officially introduced the 2027 Kawasaki Versys 650, bringing a refreshed look and refined features to its middleweight adventure-touring bike. True to the “Versatile System” moniker behind the Versys name, this updated machine balances daily commuting practicality with upright long-distance touring comfort and sporty, agile handling. Finished in Candy Lime Green, the MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650 is priced at INR 8,63,000/- (Ex-Showroom). Deliveries across India will commence from the end of August 2026.

At the heart of the Versys 650 is a tried-and-tested 649cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel-twin engine engineered with an Assist & Slipper clutch and fuel injection for smooth, responsive power delivery across the rev range.

Built around a lightweight tubular diamond frame, the chassis setup uses a Ø41 mm telescopic front fork providing 150 mm of travel alongside a laydown offset rear monoshock with 145 mm of travel. The rear shock features remote spring preload adjustability, making it effortless to dial in suspension settings for solo rides, pillion passengers, or luggage. Lightweight 17-inch wheels wrapped in radial tyres deliver confident cornering and high-speed road holding.
Touring credentials are supported by a large 21-litre fuel tank, an 845 mm seat height, and a slim, upright riding stance paired with wide handlebars. Wind protection is managed by a redesigned upper cowl—inspired by the larger Versys 1000 to give it the unified “Versys family face”—and a four-position windshield offering 80 mm of total adjustability in 27 mm increments (adjustable directly from the saddle). A wind-tunnel-tested accessory screen that sits 100 mm taller is also available. For pillion riders, the bike features a cushioned, wide rear seat and ergonomically placed grab handles.
