Performance, Engines, and Transmissions

The updated powertrains bring improved power-to-weight ratios for sharper 0–60 km/h acceleration, paired with a brand-new gearbox calibrated for higher tractive effort and stronger low-speed performance:

  • New Pulsar 150: Powered by a 149.5cc engine producing 14 PS @ 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm @ 6,500 rpm.
  • New Pulsar 125: The most powerful 125cc motorcycle on the market, packing a 124.58cc engine that develops 12 PS @ 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm @ 6,000 rpm.

Key Hardware Upgrades and Tech Highlights

The new generation introduces extensive structural, technological, and convenience enhancements:

  • Stiffer Diamond Frame: A fresh diamond-type chassis utilises the engine as a stressed member, delivering superior stability and sharper handling.
  • Monoshock Suspension: An all-new nitrogen gas-charged emulsion-type rear monoshock setup ensures cornering composure and straight-line stability.
  • 5-Inch TFT Display: Includes Google Maps mirroring, turn-by-turn navigation, live message and call alerts, and music playback controls. Riders can also digitally store vehicle documents, such as the RC and insurance papers, directly on the console.
  • Ride Modes & Crawl Tech: Segment-first inclusion of three distinct ride modes (Road, Rain, and Sport), alongside Crawl Tech for smooth control through crawling traffic.
  • Redesigned Wolf-Eye LED Headlamp: A sharper, predator-inspired gaze featuring larger optics, with the top-spec Pulsar 150 offering best-in-class light intensity, throw, and spread.
  • Integrated Starter Generator (ISG): Featured on the top three variants of both models, bringing automatic start-stop capability for enhanced fuel economy and smoother engine starts with reduced mechanical complexity.

25 Years of the “Definitely Daring” Legacy

Reflecting on the milestone, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer (Two-wheeler Business Unit) at Bajaj Auto Ltd., remarked that the Pulsar has represented the first taste of true motorcycling performance for generations of riders. He noted that the team set out to retain the muscular stance, exhaust tone, and “Definitely Daring” spirit that defined the original, while completely modernising the underlying engineering and technology to meet the expectations of modern-day riders.
